Beginning in the early eighties decade in Kingston Jamaica, reggae dancehall music arose out of a shift to the prevalence of roots reggae. First, it was marked by MCs toasting to instrumental tracks, soon progressing into a signature blend of electronic sounds, driving beats, and often explicit lyrics. This genre underwent further development with
